As the Founder of CARBON-12, Alex brings over two decades of diverse expertise, having collaborated with more than 100 top brands, non-profits, and start-ups. With a strong background in integrated marketing, brand strategy, operations, experiential marketing, and production, Alex has a proven track record of driving brand growth, forging strategic partnerships, crafting meaningful narratives, and delivering impactful campaigns across various industries. Her specialty is advising brands at the intersection of culture, content and communities.

Alex is passionate about entrepreneurship and helping to create more equitable outcomes for historically underserved communities. In addition to her work with CARBON-12, she serves as Chair of Colgate’s Presidents’ Circle Membership Council, is a Director of the Straus Historical Society, sits on the Board of BABCO, and mentors emerging entrepreneurs as part of Colgate’s Thought Into Action program.

Rena Marie is Head of Team Culture and Dynamics. She is an expert in facilitation, program development, curriculum development, DEI, building & supporting healthy teams, and performance. She has facilitated trainings and workshops covering topics such as therapeutic communications, wellness, and equity for people in various industries; such as educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and corporations. She is a trained Drama Therapist, with a MA in counseling psychology. Rena is also an actor and dancer, and works as a dance instructor with Rhythm in Motion and is passionate about working with underserved youth.
